In what could be a major step toward the actualization of the legislation, US Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri has officially reintroduced the PELOSI Act to ban Congress from stock trading. Indeed, the act had been introduced in 2023, although it failed to make notable headway under the previous Biden administration. US President Donald Trump had previously confirmed he would sign such legislation banning congressional stock trading. Coinbase is launching a comprehensive paid media campaign to urge crypto users to contact their members of Congress to address the need for regulatory clarity of the crypto industry. As part of this campaign , the second-largest crypto exchange is also organizing a fly-in on Sept. 27 to bring executives and developers from different crypto companies to meet staff and lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
